Responsible use of resources
Over the years, we have worked closely with our recycling partners to make use of as many waste streams as possible. Our aim is to minimise the amount of waste that cannot be recycled.
One example is the mineral corundum, which is used for sandblasting before the nonstick coating is applied. After use, it is filtered and returned to the supplier, who can process it for other purposes. Waste that cannot be recycled but can be incinerated is used for energy recovery and contributes to heating the local area. In 2024, approximately 4% of our total waste went to landfill.
At product level, we use packaging made from 80% recycled material, and our printing company is certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
Our pans are currently protected by a plastic bag during transport because the available alternatives currently have a documented higher environmental impact. However, we continue to investigate new solutions.
Developments in our waste management
The long-term development is clear: a larger share of our waste is recycled rather than sent to landfill. Since 2019, we have increased our recycling rate from 78% to 81% in 2024, while the share sent to landfill has been reduced from 7% to 4%. The remaining 15% is used for energy recovery through incineration.
We monitor developments closely from year to year. The amount of waste varies with production, but our focus remains on increasing recycling and reducing the amount sent to landfill.

Responsible production
Responsibly produced cookware – “For the love of good food”.
Recycled aluminium
Recycled aluminium creates less waste and requires significantly less energy than producing virgin aluminium.
Recycled stainless steel
Recycled stainless steel reduces emissions by more than 80% compared with the production of virgin stainless steel.
Energy consumption
We are working to reduce our energy consumption and increase the share of energy from renewable sources.
Long-lasting products
Our nonstick is made to last for many years.
