FAQ

Information about our sauté pans

When do you use a sauté pan?

A sauté pan is ideal for a variety of cooking techniques. It is often used for sautéing vegetables, searing meat and preparing sauces. Its large surface lets you cook several portions at once, making it suitable for everyday meals and special occasions alike. Whether you are preparing a quick weekday meal or a more complex dish, a sauté pan is an excellent choice.

SCANPAN's range of sauté pans

SCANPAN offers a wide range of sauté pans in different sizes, making it easy to find the right pan for your needs. For smaller portions, choose a 16 or 20 cm model. For larger dishes, sizes up to 32 cm provide ample room. The range includes both steel and hand-cast aluminium pans for even heat distribution and fast heating.

The handles are made from stainless steel or synthetic material to limit heat transfer and help them stay cool for longer. If you choose a sauté pan from the Classic, CTX, Impact or Pro SB+ series, any accompanying lid will be made from glass, so you can monitor the cooking without lifting the lid and releasing steam and heat.

Functionality and compatibility

SCANPAN sauté pans are designed for all hob types, including conventional/ceramic hobs, induction (except Classic) and gas. This makes them a versatile choice for anyone looking to expand their cooking options. Our sauté pans are also ovenproof up to 250°C, allowing you to prepare a wide variety of dishes in the oven.

Cleaning and care

To help your sauté pan last for many years, it is important to use the correct cleaning methods. Sauté pans with a nonstick coating are easy to clean, but always follow the specific care instructions. For more information about cleaning your SCANPAN product, see our cleaning guide.
